PROJECTS 

To seek new musical experiences, explore and learn from others is the thing we enjoy the most. Here you find some of the numerous collaborations we have made and projects we have started. If you want to make music with us, or if you know a project that would suit our music, don’t hesitate to reach out. We are constantly looking for new musical paths to explore.

 “In 2012 we invited ten of our best friends, all great musicians, that we had met touring around the world and through a great music project called Ethno. We were driven by a common dream to dive deep into traditional music and find common pathways between different cultures' traditions. Planned as a one-of-thing we never in wildest dreams could have imagined what a beautiful journey it would take us on.”

Världens Band has released two albums and toured Europe for the past years. In 2015 we released an acclaimed album, Transglobal Roots Fusion, (Nataraj Records) that gave the band the epithet ”A Frankenstein’s monster of world music” (Songlines magazine 2016).

2018 saw the release of a second album; Dadjalo, Nataraj Records). This time a live recorded album to fully capture their high-energy-live approach, with original compositions as always deeply rooted in the variety of traditions represented in the band.

På konsert med Kolonien (School concert program)

Throughout our years we have always enjoyed playing music for young audiences, our latest program is called “På konsert med Kolonien”. For English version email erik@kolonien.nu

"På konsert på Kolonien!" är en genreöverskridande musikföreställning med både instrumental musik och
flerstämmig sång i fokus. Texterna rör mångfald, hållbarhet, tolerans och vikten av att ta hand om varandra,
ämnen som på olika sätt genomsyrar musiken. Och det svänger! I denna interaktiva konsert får barnen inte
bara möta musiken- de får uppleva den. I interaktion med dans, sång, rytmik och lek uppstår världens ös
som ska kännas i hela kroppen.

”Konserten för låg- och mellanstadieeleverna är bland det bästa jag varit med om på länge! Aulan fullkomligt kokade av bra energi och en massa glädje. Det var spontandans och heja-rop från den unga publiken, Kolonien levererade till 100 % och bjöd in sin publik att vara delaktig i den fantastiska musikfest som uppstod. Gåshud och lycka.”
